THRIVE! Goes to the USA

On June 12th Thrive! UK partner Mike Hopkins of Hill Top Consulting visited San Francisco and met Dan Nelson, President of the Visual Media Alliance (www.vma.bz) and the Printing Industries of California (an affiliate of Printing Industries of America, the largest graphic arts trade association in the world with over 6000 members with $160bn revenues) and amongst other things discussed project THRIVE.

The industry in the USA has wrestled with, and is still wrestling with, the same issues as the European industry – digital transformation, online competition and environmental challenges – so the vies from across the Atlantic are valid. Mike Hopkins presented the project objectives and work so far to Dan Nelson and was received with enthusiasm and questions as to the next steps. Particularly, the application of the project to the industry in the USA seemed of interest and Dan Nelson asked to be kept informed of the project as it proceeds.
